We’re so excited you’re here!
GOLD (Growing Older, Living Digitally) is a nonprofit organization with a simple mission:
To help older adults confidently live, connect, and thrive in today’s tech-centered world, one step at a time.
Whether you want to FaceTime with family, organize your photos, finally understand what “the cloud” is, or just stop feeling overwhelmed by your phone… you’re not alone. GOLD offers friendly, judgment-free support through hands-on classes, practical workshops, and real-life tips.
But we’re not stopping at tech. We’re also here to support you in other key areas of everyday life, like simple nutrition, easy meal ideas, and fitness tips you can actually follow. Because living well in this stage of life means taking care of the whole picture: mind, body, and digital skills.
GOLD was founded on a simple belief: It’s never too late to live boldly, learn something new, and feel confident in the digital age.
From learning to use Zoom to trying a 10-minute chair workout, we’re here to walk with you, at your pace, with your goals in mind.
GOLD was created for older adults who want to feel more confident living in a digital world, not just learning it. We’ve met so many people who just needed someone to sit beside them and say, “It’s okay, we’ll figure this out together.”
That’s what we’re here for. No tech jargon, no pressure, just encouragement, clear steps, and practical tips you can really use.
As a nonprofit, GOLD runs on the generosity of people who believe in our mission. If you'd like to support older adults in living fuller, healthier, and more connected lives, we’d love for you to join us.

Even small donations help us expand our classes, reach more people, and keep our programs free or low-cost for those who need them most.
Thank you for helping us build a world where growing older means growing bolder!

GOLD recently had the privilege of speaking at a meeting of the Apex Lions Club, sharing our mission of bridging the gap between technology and the older adults it was built to serve. The conversation centered on the three pillars of GOLD's work: digital health literacy (helping seniors confidently navigate tools like MyChart), scam prevention through our S.C.A.M. framework (Stop, Confirm, Avoid, Make a Report), and AI literacy for everyday life. We also talked about a guiding principle...
If you’ve been to the doctor’s office recently, you may have noticed something new. Your physician might have mentioned something about it, using phrases or words like “automatic note taking” or “ambient scribe”. This might sound a little unfamiliar at first, so let’s break it down. What Are AI Recordings? AI recordings use artificial intelligence to listen during a doctor’s office and assist with turning the conversation into medical notes that are stored in your health record. Think of it...
AI is everywhere, but so are the myths about it. Learn the truth about what AI can and can't do, and why it's a tool, not a replacement for human thinking.
Whether you're an older adult, a partner, a funder, or a friend of GOLD, there's a place for you here.
