GOLD - Growing Older Living Digitally

For senior centers

Your members have the devices. We help them use them with confidence.

GOLD (Growing Older Living Digitally) is a nonprofit that teaches older adults hands-on technology skills. We partner with senior centers to bring practical, friendly workshops to their communities, at no cost to your members.

What we teach

Real tasks, on their own devices

  • Digital health

Patient portals, test results, messaging a doctor, telehealth visits. Members practice the real task on their own phone or tablet.

  • Scam defense

Scams change too fast to memorize, so we teach a method members can use on anything new, including how to check a suspicious message with tools like AI.

  • AI made simple

What AI tools are, how to use them safely, and how they can help with everyday questions, without the jargon.

These are our core areas, not the limit. We start with where your members are getting stuck, then shape the programming around the technology they are being asked to use and the goals your center has for them.

How we deliver

In person or online, wherever you are

  • Workshops at your center

Our instructors come to you and teach a hands-on class in your space.

  • Live online classes

Interactive Zoom workshops, so we can work with centers wherever they are.

  • Ongoing series

A recurring class your members can count on, rather than a one-off visit.

How it works

Simple for your staff

  1. 1

    Talk

Tell us about your members, what they struggle with, and what you have room for.

  2. 2

    Plan

We pick topics and a schedule together, and give you flyers and copy to promote the class.

  3. 3

    Teach and follow up

We run the workshop, survey participants, and share what members learned and where they still need help.

Since 2025, GOLD has reached 11,000+ older adults in 16 states.
