Local artists 55 and older donated original work for our silent auction, with each piece displayed alongside the story its artist created with AI. The evening also features a live auction with additional donated artwork from artists of all ages. Admission is free.
Not everyone got the help to keep up.
Somebody's mother has a message from her doctor sitting unread because she can't get into the portal. Somebody's father answered a call last week that sounded official enough to believe. Somebody who ran a household for forty years now hands the phone to their daughter and says here, you do it.
Asking for help started to feel like admitting they can't. But they can.
We see it in our workshops. Someone tells us what they've been afraid of, we sit with them, and they try it themselves for the first time. It takes one moment for that to turn back into confidence, and that confidence carries into everything else they've been avoiding.
